Chris specialises in the People aspects of organisations, facilitating change and the development of individuals, teams, the leadership and the culture.
A ten-year consultancy career is founded upon a fifteen-year practical operational management experience leading to appointments as managing director and board directorships.
He also has experience of the challenges of unemployment and career change.
Chris has an MBA and has been researching Corporate Culture as part of a doctoral programme at Kingston Business School.
Chris is an approved Investors in People advisor and a trained assessor for EFQM.
A key part of the skill set that Chris brings is the ability to quickly build trust, understanding and communication at all levels, founded upon practical experience as an employee, a manager, leader and consultant. His ‘facilitative and coaching’ style enables change at the individual, team and organisational levels.
Emotional intelligence is one of the tools that Chris uses. He is a trained practitioner, and was co-founder and managing director of the Centre for Applied Emotional Intelligence.
Chris is also a Senior Motorcyclist Observer for the Institute of Advanced Motorists, where his practical coaching skills help riders achieve the IAM Advanced Motorcycling test.
Chris has advised and supported a wide variety of clients, from multinational to SME, services to central and local government, commercial and ‘not for profit’. The common thread has always been the focus upon the People.
He has worked to assist in the establishment of new senior management teams, facilitated the development of corporate and business plans, coached both new and experienced managers and leaders, worked across ‘shared service centre’ work-stream teams and with single teams as they solve internal issues.
